Weatherall 1010
Chinking is a flexible, mortar-textured sealant specifically designed
for use in log homes.
Formulated from a thoroughly
tested blend of latex acrylic resins chosen for superior weathering,
adhesion and flexing characteristics, Weatherall 1010 Chinking replaces
mortar-based chinking, mastics and glossy caulks.
Weatherall
1010 Chinking is used in log joints where a positive, weather-tight
seal is needed and a neat, mortar-textured finish is desired.
Available
in a wide range of colors to either imitate the traditional look of
mortar chinking or to blend with the tones of the wood.
- NOTE:
Check the Color Chart to the right carefully...you'll see that some
colors are only available in Classic 1010 and others only in the 1010
Lite. Look at the bottom of the color chart to determine which is which.

1010 Chinking makes an excellent restorative coating over previously
applied mortar chinking, mastics or caulks.

- Note:
Must be protected from freezing. Store at 40 to 90 F. Opened
containers may be stored by floating a thin film of water (1/16 in.) on
the surface of the material, covering it with plastic, and tightly
re-lidding the container.

Chinking
- Formulated
with a special resin chemistry suitable where exceptional elasticity is
required: logs of greater moisture content, (over 18%), log or slab
siding, or other dynamically moving joints. 100% elongation.
